Natalie Sarah Brown is a director, writer, and actor from the tall evergreens of Longview, Washington. Now based in Los Angeles, her films have been showcased at Not Your Daddy’s Filmmaker Spotlight, HollyShorts, Film Shortage, and Silver Lake Shorts. Before that her half hour pilot was officially selected in the Portland Comedy Film Festival. Growing up in the weirdness of “Twilight” Washington, Natalie loves directing offbeat, kind of hilarious tragedies.

Natalie Sarah Brown is a Los Angeles-based writer, director, and actor whose work lives at the intersection of dark comedy and genuine heartbreak. She writes and directs the kind of stories that make you laugh and then realize something might actually be totally tragic. Originally from “Twilight" Washington, Natalie grew up in a landscape where melodrama and mundanity coexisted, a tension that continues to define her work. She later wrote her undergraduate honors thesis on the cultural and historical concealment of the vulva, which tells you everything you need to know about her willingness to go to *there* for the plot. Her short films have screened at HollyShorts, Film Shortage, Silver Lake Shorts, and Not Your Daddy's Filmmaker Spotlight, and her half-hour pilot was officially selected by the Portland Comedy Film Festival.

Across her work, Natalie returns to a consistent obsession: women navigating situations that were never built for them, making sharp, surprising, and sometimes self-destructive choices in the process. Street Sweeping Day follows a woman who forgets to move her car and finds herself in a surreal standoff with an eerily cheerful street sweeping crew. Slut Chain tracks two women spiraling through the chaotic aftermath of a date gone very, very wrong. Tautology sits quietly with a young woman confronting the cost of choosing herself over the community that shaped her.
